July Lion

I watch carefully as a lion walks by,
And I think to myself "This can't be right."
For it can't be normal to see a lion here in July.

I mean,
It's not normal to see a lion here at all,
But surely if there were a lion
It would appear in fall.

I don't know much about lions,
But I'm certain that one should not be here.

Other people watch just like me,
They must be thinking the same as I,
As they see this lion walking with glee.
And they possibly wonder if they are high.
